About Pre-Development Meetings
Pre-Development Meetings are an opportunity for customers to meet virtually with City Staff to discuss your future plans for development prior to submitting a formal application. They are complimentary and while they are not required for all projects, we highly encourage taking advantage of these meetings. In some cases, a pre-development meeting is required prior to applying for certain development applications. Please reference your application checklist to determine if it is a required step in your application process. If you already have a development application in process with the City, please contact your case manager or individual permit reviewer with questions.
What to Expect at the Pre-Development Meeting
Pre-Development meetings are conducted via virtual teleconference and are scheduled in 1 hour increments. During the meeting, you'll meet with a representative of both the Planning and Engineering Departments. Staff will explain the process for development and standards or constraints that may apply. For the best meeting experience, it is recommended that you attend the virtual meeting on a computer or laptop to allow for screen-sharing of maps and resources.
After the Meeting
Following the meeting, staff will provide notes and any additional documentation or research discussed in the meeting. Please allow staff 10 business days to complete the research and gather documentation discussed.
