Friday Apr 2: Friend of Trees

                Where: Dog Park on Charles Austin

                Time: 9:30am-12pm

                Activity: caring for public trees

Saturday Apr 3: Hot Spot with Data Collection

Where: Below 35 along San Marcos River and Capes Rd. (park at Stokes Park- be there at 9am- limited parking; park on River Rd or Cape Rd and walk to Stokes Park) 

                Time: 9am-noon (could end earlier if data collection is done)

                Activity: picking up litter and testing a data collection process for Keep Texas Beautiful; wading in the river will be happening. 

                Special Instructions: Please contact me if you are going to participate. We will be splitting the groups up, similar to the river cleanup

Wednesday Apr 7: Old Train Depot Prep

                Where: Old Train Depot on MLK near S LBJ; next to Santi’s Tacos

                Time: 9am-12m

                Activity: prepping the grounds for planting

                Special Instructions: bring water

Saturday Apr 17: Iris Garden 

                Where: 617 IH-35 next to the San Marcos Visitors Center

                Time: 9am-11am

                Activity: weeding the iris garden 

                Special instructions: bring water; the garden is to the left of the Visitors Center

Saturday Apr 17: Downtown Clean Up

                Where: meet at San Marcos Chamber of Commerce (202 CM Allen at Hutchison)

                Time: 9am-12pm

                Activity: Painting railing and litter cleanup

                Special instructions: park at San Marcos Plaza Park (between Chamber and TXST River House); walk to N LBJ

Saturday Apr 24: Native Prairie Restoration-tentative

                Where: Prospect Park/Lower Purgatory Natural Area (see highlighted area in map below- park at Prospect Park 1414 Prospect)

                Time: 9am-noon

                Activity: step one of prairie restoration: spreading mulch

                Special instructions: wear close toed shoes, bring water; we’ll provide tools/supplies
