Donation stations will be in the lobby of each residence hall, where students may bring their reusable items.
How Does It Work?
Donation stations will have seven bins for collecting clothing and accessories, electronics and batteries, luggage and backpacks, unopened hygiene products, school supplies, non-perishable food and household goods. See Accepted Items for more information about accepted donations and conditions.
All clothing, luggage, and household goods must be in like-new or gently used condition. If you're unsure about an item, ask yourself, "Would I use this?" If not, please dispose of the item in the trash.
Hygiene and food products must be unopened and not expired.
Both working and damaged electronics are accepted.
Please sort your donations into the appropriate bin. Remember to drop off items at the donation station no later than Thursday, May 11th.
All items received will be donated to a local non-profit organizations, recycling centers, or reuse businesses. Damaged electronics will be recycled.
San Marcos Resource Recovery and the Texas State Office of Sustainability will service the donation stations weekly on a schedule.
