For three days, the San Marcos Fire Department stood at a couple of busy intersections to collect money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Firefighter Isaac Hernandez took the lead and orgainized the event. They raised a total of $13,749 for the well deserved charity. He said, "Thanks to all the on and off-duty folks and Citizens Fire Academy cadets that came out to help 'fill the boot'. Keep an eye out for next year' campaign!"
