The San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter presents these Pets of the Week available for adoption.
Cat of the Week: Matilda
A little shy, a little reserved, but with a whole lotta love to give, Matilda is just a cat, searching for the perfect family that understands her. She doesn’t just give her affection to just anyone, you’ve got to work for it. But once she trusts you, she becomes a wonderful and loving friend. Matilda is three years old and doesn’t need a ton of toys or playtime to stay happy. All you need is a comfy spot for her to lounge and the occasional treat to make this cat purr! Matilda doesn’t mind sharing her space with other cats, and she’d be a great fit for a relaxed and quiet home.
Dogs of the Week: Cindy and Susan
We just couldn’t feature one goofy, cuddly pup without mentioning the other—Cindy and Susan! These nine month-old bulldog/boxer mixes are all puppy. They both love toys and anything with treats. They might need some training, and plenty of playtime, but they love being around people so much, it’s impossible to resist their silly, wiggly charm. Susan and Cindy both have a condition known as “cherry-eyes,” a cosmetic condition that can easily be fixed with surgery. They have both already undergone one procedure, and what’s more, a generous member of the public has sponsored their second round. Both Cindy and Susan are young enough that they will easily adjust to separate homes, and they would be a great fit for any high-energy, fun-loving family.
The San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter is hosting their $1 Adoption Special for the entire month of October. All dogs and cats are adoptable for only $1.
