Chain link fencing currently in use around the river parks will be adjusted to provide access to trails and the river between City Park and Rio Vista Park. Yes, however individual play and household play only is encouraged. Outdoor pickleball and tennis courts - double play is allowed. Outdoor basketball courts - dribble, shoot, and participate in other ball handling drills or activities alone or with household members. Yes, cycling is an exercise that can be performed individually in our neighborhood parks and natural areas (except Blanco Shoals Natural Area). Please note that riverfront parks are closed. In response to the recent spike in COVID-19 cases, the City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department has canceled the upcoming sessions of Summer Fun and Discovery Camp. Previously scheduled to start on July 13, both programs have been suspended for the year. Those who have already registered will be notified and will receive a full refund.
Rio Vista Pool is closed for the summer. The indoor pool at the Activity Center is currently closed through the end of January. Reservations will begin 5 days prior to the scheduled reopening date.
