Each month will feature a different story that you can follow along with as you explore our beautiful parks and natural areas. Our March 2021 Tales on the Trails will be set up along Virginia Witte Way Trail at Schulle Canyon Natural Area beginning March 2 and will feature Mr. Hare's Big Secret by Hannah Dale. You and your family are invited to enjoy a self-guided tour along the 1/2 mile accessible trail, located at 100 Ridgewood. Don't forget to take a photo during your visit and submit to cmarler@sanmarcostx.gov by April 1st to be entered into a drawing for a prize!

Parking Lot Bingo – Spring Edition, sponsored by WellMed!2021-03-04T13:00:00Join us for another 50+ Special Event on Thursday, March 4, 2021. We will be hosting Parking Lot Bingo – Spring Edition, sponsored by WellMed! It will take place at the Activity Center parking lot at 1 PM, weather permitting. The parking lot will open at 12:30 PM and cars will be parked in alternating spaces. Space is limited to 25 cars. You must sign-up for this event by emailing nriali@sanmarcostx.gov or by calling 512-393-8275 and leave a message and let us know the driver’s name and total number of people that will be in the vehicle. Participants will remain in their cars and wear a mask if attending with non-family members. The Activity Center is closed on Thursdays and restrooms will NOT be available. Each person will be allowed 4 cards per game that will be printed on 1 sheet of paper. A new sheet of 4 cards will be used every game, for 10 games. Card sheets will be provided. Please bring your own card marking instrument.

San Marcos Activity Center Gym501 East HopkinsSan MarcosTX78666 Pickleball is offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays. You must reserve a time slot to play. There are two, 1.5 hour time slots that are available each day Pickleball is offered. One is from 8:30-10:00 AM, the other is from 10:15-11:45 AM. You are only allowed to sign up for one time slot per day. There will be four courts set up, with maximum of four people per court with four people waiting/resting in each gym. It is open play for both gyms and the gyms are no longer designated as competitive or recreational. Participants must bring their own Pickleball paddles and ball (balls are available for purchase). Players serve only their ball. Masks must be worn while inside the Activity Center. All players must adhere to proper social distancing guidelines. All players must agree that they have read and understand the City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department Release and Waiver of Liability.
