  1. Workforce Wednesday

    August 5, 2020, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Online event via Zoom.

With local unemployment at an all time high, and many people trying to return to work as the economy opens back up, the library has been receiving many questions about the best practices for securing a new position. Your résumé, cover letters, and job searches take time and skill. The library is offering professional, personalized assistance, to help local area residents through this time. The library's workforce specialist will open an online "room" to be available to walk you through your job search questions, interview practice, cover letter word choice, and any other workforce-related questions you have. Details for joining the Zoom event can be found on our Facebook page on the day of the program.

  3. We Got This: Homeschool Co-ops, Pods, and Other Alternative Options - Part 2

    August 5, 2020, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ Online program via Zoom.

Parents are coming to the library with many questions and anxieties about the upcoming school year. In response, we've asked Nicole Romero-Piche to join us for another series to address the particular concerns of this unique time in our children's school life, so that you'll be better able to find the best learning method for your family. In this two-part webinar, teacher, parent, and education consultant Nicole Romero-Piche will answer questions about home-school options during COVID-19. She'll give advice about the spectrum of options from "schooling from home" with virtual curriculum, to DIY home-school co-ops, to chosen pods of friends and family. Mark your calendar - for security purposes, the Zoom link will be posted on Facebook just before the event.
