San Marcos Transportation Corridors Study

The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) and the City of San Marcos are working together to conduct the San Marcos Transportation Corridors Study. The study will produce a series of strategies to address anticipated growth and development within key transportation corridors and activity centers in the community.

Public Involvement Round 2:

From May 3 – June 4, 2021, the public was invited to visit SMTXStudy.com to participate in the Second Virtual Open House and Open Comment Period. Participants could view draft concepts for three activity hubs and corridors and complete the interactive survey to share their thoughts.

Public Involvement Round 1:

The first round of public involvement for the San Marcos Transportation Corridors Study included a series of focus groups and a virtual public meeting which was available from August 31, 2020 – October 12, 2020. A total of 199 survey responses and more than 1000 mapped comments were received and will be used to identify strategies and concepts for future improvement and development options in San Marcos.

Past Virtual Design Workshops

During the week of March 1-5, the San Marcos Transportation Corridors Study hosted a series of design workshops to receive input on draft concepts and site plans for the activity centers and corridors. More than 60 local leaders and stakeholders participated in interactive sessions to view draft concepts and share their thoughts. The input received will be used to refine the draft concepts to be presented during the Second Virtual Open House and Open Comment Period from May 3 – June 4, 2021.
