Public Draft Workshops (Winter 2020)

In December, 2020, the City hosted a series of community workshops, focus group meetings, and follow-up surveys to gather input on the Public Draft Downtown Design Standards and Guidelines.

The documents include applicable pages with changes and are in "redlined" form to clearly show what has changed. December 9: Virtual Community Workshop

The Planning and Development Services Department hosted a Virtual Community Workshop on Wednesday, December 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. to seek input on updates to the downtown architectural design guidelines and standards.

The Workshop as interactive and participants were presented an overview of the recommended changes to the draft standards and guidelines and provided their input through polling questions during the meeting. A take-home toolkit was also offered as an alternative option to the virtual meeting. You can watch the meeting at the following link:

December 10: Joint Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council Workshop

The City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission hosted a workshop to review proposed recommended changes to the downtown design standards and guidelines. The joint workshop was held virtually on Thursday, December 10, beginning at 5 p.m. The meeting agenda and meeting packet can be found online at
