The San Marcos Fire Department tests annually and the next Firefighter Civil Service Exam will be Friday, June 2, 2023. This eligibility list will be in effect for a period of one year from the test date or until the list has been exhausted, whichever occurs first.

Eligibility
The City of San Marcos will conduct a Civil Service Exam in order to establish an eligibility list for hiring Fire Fighters. This eligibility list will remain in effect for a period of one year from test date or until the list has been exhausted, whichever comes first.
