The City of San Marcos announced it has selected Shaun Condor to serve as the Director of Engineering & Capital Improvements. Condor was selected following a nationwide search and recruitment process.
Condor has more than 17 years of professional experience, including 10 with the City of San Marcos. He joined the City in 2012 as a senior engineer, and promoted to Assistant Director of Capital Improvements in 2020. Most recently, Condor served as the Interim Director of Engineering/CIP and managed 56 active projects estimated at $60 million.
“We are confident Shaun is an ideal fit for this position,” said Interim City Manager Stephanie Reyes. “His education, experience, and understanding of San Marcos make him an asset to our organization and this critical role. He has proven himself to be adaptable and thorough, and we look forward to his continued contributions to our community.”
Condor earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and a certified Project Management Professional.
