San Marcos Parks and Recreation in coordination with WellMed will be handing out bags of fresh produce to local area seniors. This free curbside pickup event will take place on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the San Marcos Activity Center parking lot. You must be a senior aged 60 or older to receive a bag. There is a limit of 150 bags. Registration IS required for this healthy heart, produce giveaway. Only individuals registered for this event will receive a bag. Distribution of the produce bags will be from 10 AM - 12 PM.  You can register for bag of produce by visiting www.sanmarcostx.gov/activesmtx and clicking on activities or by calling the Activity Center at 512-393-8280.

Where is Booker Mouse? While his friends were camping, Booker has been exploring the new library. Now they can’t find him! Can you help? Pick up a scavenger hunt map In the children’s department that will help you find a trail of Booker’s favorite things in his favorite spots!

The librarians at the San Marcos Public Library are here to play matchmaker! Take a chance and let us set you up on a book date. If you’re lucky, you may even find your next favorite book or author! Fill out the linked form to participate. Based on your preferences we will place two books on hold for you. You must have a San Marcos Public Library card to participate.

Children learn through play! Families can explore hands-on activities designed to teach early literacy skills to children under 5. Walk-in appointments available Mon-Sat, 10 am until 1 hour before the library closes. Limited to one group at a time, for one hour. Disinfected daily.

Celebrate the seven seas with a smiling shark craft! Packets includes crafts supplies and instructions for you to make your shark at home. Available while supplies last.

Must be eligible to work in the US, have a high school diploma or GED, and not higher than an associate degree from a US college.
