Adult Pickleball Open Play

Adult Pickleball Open Play is now offered Monday - Friday from 8:30 - 11:30 AM, at the San Marcos Activity Center for ages 18 and up. We have six courts for Pickleball, which has allowed us to designate three courts as competitive courts and three courts as recreation courts. This has helped us accommodate our growing number of advanced and beginner level Pickleball players. Pickleball is a cross between badminton, tennis and ping-pong. It is played on a badminton-sized court 20 ft. by 44 ft. with paddles, a wiffle ball and a net that is lowered to 34 inches. Players volley the ball back and forth to try to score on the opposition. Pickleball is free for Activity Center members. Non-members are charged the daily use rate of $6.00 for adults 18 to 60, $3.00 for ages 60 and above. For more information, call 512.393.8280.

60+ Game Day Club

Join the San Marcos Game Day Club. This social club meets every Monday at the San Marcos Activity Center, from 12:30-4 PM. Anyone aged 60 or above, interested in joining the Game Day Club, must register for a Game Day Club 2.0 membership by calling 512-393-8280 or by visiting www.sanmarcostx.gov/activesmtx and clicking on memberships and selecting the Game Day Club 2.0. Game materials for Bridge, Mexican Train Dominoes, Hand & Foot, and 42 are provided. We will add new games at your request! Refreshments will not be served or shared. Members must bring their own snacks and drinks. New members are welcome. Pre-Registration is required, same day registration is not allowed. Members, make sure you arrive on time to get in on a game!

Enhanced Library Cards

An Enhanced Library Card is a San Marcos Public Library Card that has a person’s name, picture, and other personal information printed on it. This may possibly be used as a supplement with other documents to prove your identity. Enhanced Library Cards are only available to residents of San Marcos or Hays County ages 18 years and older. Enhanced cards are issued every Monday from 2-4pm on a first come, first served basis. If you cannot come during this time, please e-mail smpl@sanmarcostx.gov to schedule an appointment that meets your needs!

Coding Club

Families will learn the basics of coding together through playshops. Activities will be offered through the fall semester
